Goodreads Summary:
When Kaylee Cavanaugh screams, someone dies.

So when teen pop star Eden croaks onstage and Kaylee doesn’t wail, she knows something is dead wrong. She can’t cry for someone who has no soul.

The last thing Kaylee needs right now is to be skipping school, breaking her dad’s ironclad curfew and putting her too-hot-to-be-real boyfriend’s loyalty to the test. But starry-eyed teens are trading their souls: a flickering lifetime of fame and fortune in exchange for eternity in the Netherworld—a consequence they can’t possibly understand.

Kaylee can’t let that happen, even if trying to save their souls means putting her own at risk...

My Opinion
The danger for Kaylee is not over in book 1: My Soul to Take. There's more to learn about the whole of bean sidhe issue. My Soul to Save explores the things that Kaylee, as a female bean sidhe, can do and the danger it can bring. What makes me happy is that there's lots of Tod in this book! And this book is also about saving his love interest (while he was still alive).

To exchange your soul for fame? That is obviously not a really good thing to do since your soul will be taken away for eternity and it is not pleasant at all. Though the plot is somewhat predictable, it is still interesting to read. In addition, Tod's boss makes his entrance and I'm somewhat intrigued by him too. He seems really powerful! You have to read this book if you have read the first book! If you haven't, start book 1 to know more about bean sidhe. It's a really unique story about bean sidhe and grim reapers.

Quotes:
  • “You two are cracked," Tod snapped.
My smile widened. "Says the undead man in love with the soulless pop star.”

  • "We need someone who knows more about hellions. Or at least about the Netherworld in general."
    "Hello? Reaper here."

  • "So he really just finished the job. And Kaylee was singing her soul song."
"That wasn't singing." Regan's nose wrinkled like she smelled something awful. "That was vocal slaughter."

  2. Hehe! Agree on the Tod thing. Any book with tons of Tod must be a good one. Personally, I thought this book was a bit weaker than the first (Kaylee and her hero complex) but the third was the worst for me (again, Kaylee and her hero complex). Afterwards, it picks up... and how! I think you're really going to like it from Reaper onwards *winks*
