In Highlander Most Wanted, a reclusive woman content to live in the shadows shows a Highland warrior the true meaning of love.

Genevieve McInnes is locked behind the fortified walls of McHugh Keep, captive of a cruel laird who takes great pleasure in ruining her for any other man. Yet when Bowen Montgomery storms the gates on a mission of clan warfare, Genevieve finds that her spirit is bent but not broken. Still, her path toward freedom remains uncertain. Unable to bear the shame of returning to a family that believes her dead or to abandon others at the keep to an imposing new laird, Genevieve opts for the peaceful life of an abbess. But Bowen’s rugged sensuality stirs something deep inside her that longs to be awakened by his patient, gentle caress—something warm, wicked, and tempting.

Bowen seizes his enemy’s keep, unprepared for the brooding and reclusive woman who captures his heart. He’s enchanted by her fierce determination, her unusual beauty, and her quiet, unfailing strength. But wooing her will take more than a seasoned seducer’s skill. For loving Genevieve, he discovers, means giving her back the freedom that was stolen from her—even if it means losing her forever.
RATING: 4 out of 5 Stars

Genevieve has got to be the strongest woman I've ever come across. I mean... She's kidnapped, hurt, disfigured and looked-down upon by the people in her captive's walls but she was able to overcome everything and even managed to summon Bowen and his army (indirectly). The lady's got spunk!

Highlander Most Wanted follows Genevieve's journey after the McHugh laid flee from their keep out of the wrath of both Montgomery and Armstrong's way and how she was slowly wooed by Bowen, who seemed to be intrigued by her. Will she be able to hide in the abbey and away from her family, who thought she was dead after a stunt pulled out by Ian McHugh? Or follow Bowen?

This is the second book in the series. I must confess I haven't read the first book yet but it didn't hinder much on my reading progress (though I'm really intrigued by what happened in the first book). Even so, I'd advise you to read the first book to read about Eveline and Graeme because it's very obvious that Graeme loves Eveline a lot in book two so you shouldn't miss what happened in Never Seduce a Scot!

I really sympathize with what Genevieve has to go through and am glad at how the story turns out with some complications thrown into the story. I even got worried for a while, thinking about how the truth may tear the couple apart because it's something really huge. I'm also happy that Bowen took time to know Genevieve and put her interests on the top of his priorities, even if it meant giving her back to her family.

This is a good book! I totally enjoyed reading it and connecting with the characters and also falling in love with them. I'm going to grab the first book as soon as I can and I'll be sure to read the third book in the series. Fans of historical romance will love this book.
