Synopsis
One weekend together could change everything…
When her friend called to tell her about the funeral, Cassie wanted to say no. She had enough to handle with her own hollow existence. But she knew she should pay her respects to her old Wilderness Program counselor…as long as her ex, Ben, wouldn’t be there.
Except Ben is there. Still gorgeous, still angry, and still able to penetrate her defenses with one intense stare. All the reasons they left each other in a flurry of heartache start to fall away over one long, snowy weekend.
But tough Cassie can’t truly open up to Ben when she knows confessing her secrets will leave her raw, defenseless. And the possibility of forever might not be enough to gamble on all the impossibilities of now

RATING
Disclosure: I received a review copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
My overall impression of the book: a sweet read packed with colourful language (actually, it's just a single word that keeps repeating in Cassie's sentences).
A funeral is what brought both Cassie and Ben together in one location ever since what happened at Turning Pines. Months of not hearing from each other made both bitter and their first meeting after that was tough on both of them. Thanks to Laura for tricking and plotting to put them together! Cassie is really lucky to have Laura as a friend, to have someone who really care so much that they dare to face your wrath.
Told from Cassie and Ben's POV in alternating chapters, The Possibility of Us is all about trust and friendship. I think I would enjoy the book even more if I had read Dear Cassie first. However, I didn't do that so I couldn't really get into Cassie's story until the middle of the book. It's fun to read about their payback though! Drew and Laura? Was it for show or real? I couldn't really get that...
As interesting as the blurb sounds, do read Dear Cassie to get to know more about Cassie and Ben before what happens in The Possibility of Us. I believe you'll be able to further appreciate the characters. I'll be picking up the Pretty Amy series by the author to know what happened to Cassie and Ben.
