Goodreads Summary:
Staff Sergeant Matt Warwick returns from war with two broken legs—and a shattered future. Abandoned by his fiancĂ©e, he withdraws into a protective shell to hide from the pity filled glances thrown his way. His squad worries he’s fallen into depression, and arranges a 1NightStand through the renowned Madame Eve. Matt agrees, but fears he will not be able to satisfy his date, for who would want a crippled man in their bed?

Tiffany Forsen escaped a brutal relationship, and seeks to jump-start her life with a fling. Bars aren’t her scene, so when she hears of the fabulous 1NightStand service, she contacts Madame Eve immediately. All she wants is a night of fun with the hot guy in her picture—but winds up with much more. Can she convince him that when she sees him, she doesn’t see a crippled man…but a hero?

Or will his defenses keep her at arm’s length?

My Opinion:
Broken is about Matt, a broken man with a broken spirit, after he had lost the use of his legs in a war. His squad was worried about him and helped him arranged for a one night stand through Madame Eves. He went on with it but had his fears everything, just because he was crippled...

Tiffany was a therapist who had just gone through a bad relationship and sought the services of Madame Eve for a fling and then she met this man in the elevator that caught her attention...

I have a thing for Diane's books. I love her style of writing and the way she spins her stories. I got hooked after reading her "One On Condition". This story may be just a short novella but it has got everything packed nicely in one great package. Broken is full of emotions, both from Matt and from Tiffany, about their pasts and their doubts. Matt's frustration really stood out in one scene and I think Diane did a great job in Broken. This short read is great for some great reads at night before going to sleep. Recommended for those who is looking for great and fast, satisfying romance read.

Cheers!

More about the Author:
Diane Alberts current contracted works with Entangled Publishing are: ON ONE CONDITION (February 2012, Ever After line), and DIVINELY RUINED (April 2012, Ever After line). Her current works with Decadent Publishing are: KILL ME TOMORROW (October 2011, 1NightStand series), RECLAIMED (December 2011), ABSOLUTION (March 2012, Honor Guard series), BROKEN (March 2012, 1NightStand series), and ESCAPE TO ME (TBA, 1NightStand series).

Diane Alberts has always been a dreamer and had a vivid imagination, but it wasn’t until 2011 that she put her pen where her brain was, and became a published author. Since receiving her first contract offer, she has yet to stop writing. Though she lives in the mountains, she really wishes she was surrounded by a hot, sunny beach with crystal clear water. She lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with her four kids, a husband, a bird named Nemo, and two clown fish named Blue and Jewel. In the rare moments when she’s not writing, she can usually be found hunched over one knitting project or another.

She is a multi-published, bestselling author with Entangled Publishing and Decadent Publishing. She is repped by her fabulous agent, Lauren Hammond of ADA Management. She has, as of this date, two books contracted with Entangled Publishing, and five books with Decadent Publishing. Her February release with Entangled Publishing, ON ONE CONDITION, hit #18 on the Barnes and Noble Bestseller List. She has a lot of projects currently being shopped around by her fabulous agent, and her goal is to write so many fantastic books that even a non-romance book fan will know her name.
