IT'S A RACE AGAINST TIME.

In Remembrance, Lizzie and Drew changed the course of fate so they could be together.

In Vengeance, Chelsea set fate back on its original, deadly path.

Now, strange things keep happening to Lizzie. Things that are omens of darkness to come. A curse has doomed her to die an early death, just as she did in her past life. To make things worse, even if she can figure out who cast the curse, it's irreversible. There's only one option left for her to save herself. It's crazier than anything she's heard yet, and to do it, she'll need Drew and Chelsea's help.

Because to make things right, they must go back to when it all began …
RATING: 4 out of 5 Stars

Weird things are happening to Lizzie in Timeless. She and Drew must find out the source before everything is too late or everything will happen according to their past lives--with Lizzie dead.

Lizzie and Drew are finally together! That is one good news for them. The bad? That'd have to be the deadly curse! The supernatural element comes out stronger in Timeless than in Remembrance and I really enjoyed reading the whole story! The story is well paced and is definitely a page-turner for me. The thing I loved best about Timeless was the time travel! It's just so fun to read that part!

The ending for Timeless concludes the whole series beautifully. You should read the exciting series if you haven't done so!

Review: Vengeance (Transcend Time Saga #1.5) by Michelle Madow

Genre: YA Romance
Publication Date: December 8, 2011
Format: ebook
Source: Bought
Rating: 4/5 Stars

Goodreads Summary:
When Chelsea Givens discovered that her ex-boyfriend Drew dumped her to be with her former best friend Lizzie, she'd never felt so betrayed in her life. Then her new friend Shannon tells her she can help set things right. Chelsea's willing to listen, but what Shannon wants her to believe -- that she shared a past life with Drew -- is impossible. And what she wants her to do to get him back … well, it's downright crazy.

Could Shannon be telling the truth? And if she is, what lengths will Chelsea go if it means making Lizzie pay?

Find out in Vengeance, the second part of the Transcend Time Saga.

*Vengeance is the short story that bridges the events in Remembrance and the final novel in the Saga.

My Opinion

NOTE: Do not read the review if you haven't read Remembrance!! Spoiler!! (If you don't mind, then go ahead and continue)

Remembrance ends with Drew dumping Chelsea to be with Lizzie. Naturally, Chelsea felt very betrayed by Lizzie. Somehow, she kept having the feeling that things should not turn out the way it was.

Chelsea had some help from Shannon's aunt who made her have a glimpse of her past--with someone who looks like Drew. Shannon's aunt deals with a little magic and psychic and she gave Chelsea a potion and a choice to make everything the same as her past life.

At what lengths would she go to be with Drew again?

If you have read Remembrance, you should read Vengeance too! It gives a little insight of how Chelsea felt about her best friend's betrayal from her own POV. Even though it is short, it gave me a shock. (Yes literally) I kept chanting "no no no no no" in my mind. Now, it made me crave for the next book. I'm anxious to read what happens next. Guess I'll have to wait till Michelle Madow releases Timeless.

4/5 Stars for Vengeance.

Goodreads Summary:
Lizzie Davenport has been reincarnated from Regency Era, England ... but she doesn't know it yet.

Then Drew Carmichael transfers into Lizzie's high school at the beginning of the year, and she feels a connection to him, almost like she knows him. She can't stop thinking about him, but whenever she tries talking with him about the mysteries behind her feelings, he makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with her. Reaching him is even more difficult because she has a boyfriend, Jeremy, who has started to become full of himself after being elected co-captain of the varsity soccer team, and her flirtatious best friend Chelsea starts dating Drew soon after his arrival. So why can't she get him out of her mind?

Even though Lizzie knows she should let go of her fascination with Drew, fighting fate isn't going to be easy.

My Opinion
Do you believe in past lives and reincarnation? Remembrance will definitely show you all about it!

Remembrance is a beautiful story told in Lizzie's POV. She was just a regular student with a boyfriend until she met Drew Carmichael and was immediately drawn to him. Then her best friend Chelsea started dating Drew and Lizzie started having conflicted emotions over it. Drew seemed to have the answers to Lizzie questions, like how he had known that she would get better in French, but he started avoiding her. Then there was the Halloween dance where she danced with this familiar masked man and she was hit by a vision of her past. Everything changed and she needed answers. Want to know how it ends? Grab a copy of the book!! ;)

Michelle Madow did a great job in introducing the element of reincarnation in her book as well as the concept of helping another person to realize their past lives. The pace was just right and I love her writing style--it's easy to follow. Her characters are easy to connect to. Definitely a page-turner you should try. However, note that there's some unfinished issues in the book which brings us to the next book in the Transcend Time series. Ooooo... I just can't wait for it to be released!
