{Book Review} Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

Series: Delirium #2
Hardcover, 375 pages
Published February 28th 2012 by Harper Teen
I'm pushing aside the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame.
Delirium ended when things were going to get interesting and hence Pandemonium is a must read for me! While Delirium was about Lena and Alex's attempt to escape into the Wilds. In Pandemonium, it continued from there and is about what happened after their attempted escape. The world building is still good and I'm still impressed by the way Lauren writes. It's so fluid and so captivating. Pandemonium is a total page turner.

What's more, there is a new guy in Pandemonium! (Though I'm kind of sad there's no Alex in there) Well, it's interesting to read the progress between Lena and this Julian, who are both on different sides. How did they meet? Sad to say, Lena was captured together with him when a showcase went all wrong. There are a few plot twists here and there and I must say the biggest shock of all was at the end. Cliffhanger! Now I'm just going to have to wait for the 3rd book!

Please give me more Alex!

  1. I loved Pandemonium more than Delirium. While Delirium bored me almost throughout the whole novel I kind of got used to the world in Pandemonium and enjoyed it more. Plus, Julian was lovely.
